Harmful Practices Training: Understanding Forced Marriage, FGM, and Honour-Based Abuse

KMEWO is offering an  online training session designed for professionals in the statutory and voluntary sectors seeking to deepen their understanding of harmful practices and their intersection with Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).

Delivered by Dr. Feride Kumbasar, this session will explore key issues including forced marriage, female genital mutilation (FGM), and honour-based abuse. Participants will gain insight into the complexities surrounding these practices, including cultural contexts, risk indicators, and appropriate safeguarding responses. The training aims to equip attendees with the knowledge and confidence to better support individuals at risk and respond effectively to potential incidents.
