KMEWO is delighted to be one of the named grassroots specialist services funded to deliver crisis intervention & intensive advocacy for survivors of VAWG.

The Mayor of London\u2019s recent press release<\/a> referenced KMEWO as being one of the vital grassroots services, who are often the first and sometimes only support for victims of violence against women and girls from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.<\/p>\n

KEMWO, an organisation \u201cLed by and for\u201d women provide specialist and bespoke VAWG support in Kurdish, Arabic and English languages for black, ethnic and minoritised women in London and the surrounding area.<\/p>\n

The Governors and Staff at KMEWO are all from the same communities as their service users. This equips them with the cultural expertise and a deep understanding of the barriers and challenges faced by black, ethnic and minoritised fleeing domestic violence.<\/p>\n
