Funded by The London Community Foundation our Tablet Loan Scheme has been developed, as a response to the challenges faced by Black, Ethnic and Minoritised women in accessing key services.

The Covid- 19 pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges, that has a disproportionate impact on women from Black, Ethnic and Minoritised communities.

The tablets will provide support to Black, Ethnic and Minoritised women enabling them to have the opportunity to have access to one or more of the following:

  1. Support services
  2. Online training or courses
  3. Employment opportunities
  4. Connection within their community
  5. Health and well-being activities

    This is achieved by:

    • Provision of a digital device – tablet
    • Provision of internet/ Wi-Fi access – Digital SIM Card
    • Individual support in common features of how to use the tablet
    • Support to setting up an email address
    • Support to download and access common Apps


Eligibility criteria

  1. Women experiencing or had experience of domestic violence
  2. Unemployed
  3. Not borough specific


Important

The tablet will be on loan. Women will be required to hand the tablet back to KMEWO.


How will the tablet be issued?

Tablets will be collected in person from KMEWO office with designated collection times.

Referral can be made one of the following ways:
