A shocking reality:    “In the Kurdistan Region of Iraq despite several thousands of women fallen victims of “Honour Killing” over the last two decades – the total number of convictions stands at less than 10! “

Join our meeting to Help us change this ! KMEWO have organised an urgent meeting with the express purpose of highlighting the continued prevalence and escalation of ‘honour’ killings in Iraqi Kurdistan and with the aim of building International support to help end it.

It is imperative the Kurdish Regional Government are pressured to make the radical changes necessary to end discrimination against women in legislation  and the judicial system and to take serious measures to bring about the successful conviction and punishment of ‘honour’ crimes perpetrators.
