Women’s Learning for Work Project’s Manager

KMEWO – Kurdish and Middle Eastern Women Organisation is a specialist Women’s Organisation aims to improve the quality of lives of Black, Asian, Ethnic Minority and Refugee (BAMER) women, with a particular focus on women from the Kurdish, Middle Eastern and North African communities in the UK. KMEWO provides a range of support services and activities to BAMER women, including: General Information and Advice , Domestic Violence and Harmful Practices specialist Advocacy support, ESOL, IT, Confidence Building courses and other educational activities, Volunteering and Employment support, Training and awareness rising on Harmful practices including FGM and FM and Campaigning and Lobbying for women’s Rights.

KMEWO is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic person to join their existing management team, with the specific responsibility to supervise and manage the effective delivery of the Women Learning for Work project. The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience in Project / staff management in the voluntary sector. Experience in working with women’s organizations and /or educational institutions are desirable.

Part time (17½ hours per week).

Salary: 30K Pro rata.

This is a fixed contract for 22 months; subject to three months’ probation period.
