The project provides Black, Ethnic and Minoritised women access to learning, access to digital devices and signposting to volunteering or employment opportunities. An important aspect of the project is to break down the barriers to personal development.
Barriers include emotional, self-esteem, confidence, fear, lack of support and lack of goals. KMEWO will provide a range of bespoke support.

Personal goals setting:

    • One-to-one telephone or video advice and support sessions to identify barriers to personal development, learning or employment.
    • Developing an individual support plan


One-to-one digital device induction:

    • How to set up a digital device
    • Accessing and installing apps
    • An introduction to commonly used features
    • How to use zoom and more


Coaching and Career building workshop (4 days):

    • Personal goal setting
    • Breaking down personal barriers
    • Confidence building
    • Motivation and self-esteem
    • Interview skills
    • Time management
    • Career planning
    • Prepare for volunteering or employment opportunities


Tailor-made Employment support:

    • Setting employment goals,
    • CV building
    • Job searches
    • Completing job application forms
    • Interview preparation
    • How to use digital devices during an interview


Identifying training opportunities and progression routes:

    • Enrolment for non- accredited or accredited courses (20 hours)
    • A £50 support voucher when you find employment


Who is eligible?

    • Women only
    • Must be unemployed
    • Must be in receipt of benefits such as, Universal Credit or jobseekers allowance
    • Must be a UK residence
    • Must provide proof of address
